Replacing the oil pump assembly requires partial disassembly of the right side of the housing and removal of the clutch system. Before fitting the new pump, be sure to completely clean the crankcase chamber and all oil channels of crusted sawdust, resin and deposits of old oil, so that a clean flow is ensured. Check the condition of the drive gear and the sealing elements on the housing. When fixing the pump, tighten the bolts crosswise and gradually, using a torque wrench to the factory-specified torque, so that deformation of the pump body or damage to the thread in the magnesium engine housing does not occur.
