How to sell on Vondi

Vondi is a marketplace for everyone — from companies with thousands of SKUs to individuals selling their first item. This guide explains how to become a seller, run your store, and meet your obligations to buyers and the state. Help: partner@mail.vondi.rs, +381 60 448 5063, weekdays 10:00–18:00.

Who can sell

  • B2C — legal entities and entrepreneurs. Limited liability companies (DOO), entrepreneurs and other registered forms with APR. Vondi gives full visibility, integrated fiscal receipts, the negotiated B2B rate with Pošta Srbije, and analytics.
  • C2C — private individuals. Persons selling new or second-hand items occasionally. C2C is allowed within the limits of the Personal Income Tax Act (ZPDG) — once selling becomes a regular activity, registration is required (PIB, flat-tax entrepreneur, or DOO). Vondi helps you know when that threshold is reached.
Not sure whether you are B2C or C2C? Write to us, we will help you choose.

Why sell on Vondi

  • No setup fee. Open a storefront for free, pay only commission per sale.
  • Active buyer base. Vondi invests in marketing, SEO and storefront promotion.
  • Integrated delivery. A contract with Pošta Srbije (Post Express) is already in place — no negotiations with couriers, you get our B2B rate including bulky shipments.
  • Lockers (paketomat). Send to the Pošta locker network with no extra contracts.
  • Cloud fiscalization. Our ESIR integration issues a fiscal receipt automatically on every payment (ZoFis compliant).
  • Payment security. Buyer payments go through AllSecure (cards) and PaySpot (IPS) — no need for your own processor contract.
  • Seller dashboard. Orders, revenue, commission breakdown, accounting reports.
  • Serbian legal framework. We help you stay compliant with ZZP, ZoT, ZET and ZZPL.

Step 1 — Registration and verification

Verification prevents fraud and protects both sellers and buyers. The process depends on seller type.

B2C — legal entities and entrepreneurs

  • Full company name and legal form (DOO, entrepreneur, AD etc.)
  • PIB and MB (verified through APR API)
  • Registered seat and correspondence address (if different)
  • Business bank account (RSD; EUR optional)
  • Legal representative's name, ID, e-mail
  • Primary activity code
  • VAT status (if registered — VAT decision number)
  • Customer-facing phone and e-mail

Verification typically takes 1 working day.

C2C — private individuals

  • Full name
  • Verified phone and e-mail
  • Correspondence address
  • Bank account for payouts
  • JMBG — required for fiscal receipts and tax reporting under ZoFis and ZPDG
  • If your sales exceed the legal threshold, Vondi will notify you with registration guidance

C2C verification is usually same-day.

Step 2 — Open your storefront

A storefront is your dedicated shop page on Vondi. Setup takes a few minutes.

  • Name — short, memorable, never imitating another shop (Art. 50–53 ZoT — no misleading practices).
  • Logo and banner — recommended 1024×1024 (logo) and 1920×500 (banner).
  • Description — who you are, what you offer, how long you've been operating. Trust matters.
  • Storefront contact — public e-mail and phone (Art. 13 ZET — buyers must be able to reach you).
  • Shipping policy — your prep times, shipping options, returns.
  • Returns policy — buyer rights (at minimum what ZZP guarantees).
A B2C storefront must display the full company name, PIB, MB and registered seat — required by ZoT and ZET.

Step 3 — Add products

Add products one by one (manual) or in bulk (XML/CSV/ZIP import).

Required attributes per product

  • Title (clear, descriptive, no spammy caps)
  • Category
  • Price (with VAT for consumers; without VAT clearly marked if you are not VAT registered)
  • Condition (new, used, refurbished)
  • Photos (min 1, recommended 3–5; white or neutral background)
  • Description (specs, materials, dimensions, compatibility)
  • GTIN/EAN-13/UPC-12 — global barcode if available (helps search and Google Shopping)
  • Brand, MPN when known
  • Stock quantity
  • Package weight and dimensions (for shipping calculation)

Variants

If a product has colours/sizes, use the variant mechanism — each variant has its own price, stock, and barcode.

Don't

  • Don't copy others' photos and descriptions (copyright)
  • Don't fake ratings or reviews (Art. 50 ZoT — misleading practices)
  • Don't hide costs (Art. 13 ZET — all mandatory fees included in the displayed price)

Step 4 — Order management

When a buyer pays, you get a notification (e-mail and dashboard).

Typical flow

  1. 1.Confirm — verify availability.
  2. 2.Pack — within your promised handling time (recommended: 24h for in-stock items).
  3. 3.Hand over to courier. Vondi generates the Post Express label and sends it to your e-mail and dashboard.
  4. 4.Locker — if chosen, drop off at the Pošta intake point or hand to the courier marked for the locker.
  5. 5.Tracking updates automatically — buyer follows progress.
  6. 6.On delivery — the fiscal receipt is auto-issued and sent to the buyer.
  7. 7.Settlement — commission is computed and shown in the dashboard.
Cannot fulfil an order (e.g. wrong stock)? Notify the buyer and Vondi support immediately — buyer is refunded within the legal deadline.

Step 5 — Payments and commission

Cost components per sale

  • Vondi platform commission — current per-category rate is on the Tariffs page and in your seller dashboard before you list your first product.
  • Payment processor fees (Cards AllSecure, IPS QR PaySpot, COD Pošta Srbije) — current rates are shown in your seller dashboard before your first sale.
  • Shipping cost — at the negotiated B2B rate based on weight and dimensions; payable by buyer, seller, or split.
  • VAT on goods (20% standard, 10% reduced for selected categories).

Escrow and payout

  • Buyer payments first land in Vondi escrow (except COD, collected by the courier).
  • Funds are released to the seller after delivery and the withdrawal period (14 days under ZZP), or earlier if the buyer confirms acceptance.
  • Payout to your business/personal account weekly (or as agreed), with full breakdown.

Accounting documents

  • Vondi issues a monthly invoice with commission and payment fees (VAT applied where due).
  • A detailed transaction report (CSV/Excel/PDF) is available in the dashboard.

Step 6 — Delivery

Post Express (Pošta Srbije)

  • Direct API integration — labels generated automatically.
  • Negotiated B2B rate for all sellers.
  • Bulky shipments supported.
  • COD supported.

Pošta paketomat lockers

  • Self-service locker network across Serbia.
  • Buyer picks the locker at checkout; you pack and hand to Pošta marked for that locker.
  • Ideal for small, lightweight items.

Local pickup

  • Available if you have a physical location.
  • Buyer receives address and hours after payment.

Step 7 — Tax and fiscal receipts

VAT registration

  • Threshold: RSD 8,000,000 turnover over the trailing 12 months (Art. 38 ZPDV).
  • If exceeded — register with the Tax Authority (Poreska uprava) within 15 days.
  • Standard rate 20%, reduced 10% (basic foods, medicines, certain books, etc.).
  • Vondi displays VAT-inclusive prices for VAT payers and clearly marks non-VAT prices for non-payers.

Fiscal receipts (ZoFis)

  • Under the Fiscalization Act, every retail payment requires a fiscal receipt.
  • Vondi is integrated with ESIR — the receipt is auto-issued at payment confirmation.
  • The buyer receives a PDF; the seller has access via the dashboard.
  • You don't need your own POS — Vondi acts as your ESIR for sales through our platform.
If you also sell off-Vondi (your own site, physical store), you need a separate ESIR for those channels.

Personal income tax (C2C)

  • Occasional sale of personal items is not taxable under ZPDG until it becomes a regular activity.
  • Once recurring, the Tax Authority may require registration as a flat-tax entrepreneur or DOO.
  • Vondi tracks annual revenue and warns you near legal thresholds.

Step 8 — Returns and complaints (seller obligations)

Right of withdrawal (14 days)

Under Art. 27 ZZP, a B2C buyer can withdraw within 14 days without giving a reason. Your duties:

  • Accept returned goods in the legally required condition (undamaged, with accessories).
  • Refund within 14 days of receiving the withdrawal statement (Art. 34 ZZP).
  • Buyer pays return shipping unless you state otherwise.

Statutory conformity

Per Art. 52 ZZP:

  • 2 years for new goods
  • 1 year for second-hand goods (if explicitly agreed)

Complaints

  • Reply to a complaint within 8 days (Art. 56 ZZP).
  • Resolve within a reasonable time (recommended 30 days).
  • Vondi keeps an internal complaint registry — buyers track status in the dashboard.
Vondi standardises complaints — buyer opens a ticket, you get notified, messages exchange happens within the platform. Vondi mediates if you don't reach agreement.

Step 9 — What you may NOT sell

The list is not exhaustive and is updated according to law.

  • Alcohol (except under a special licence and excise rules)
  • Tobacco (distance selling banned — Tobacco Act)
  • Prescription medicines and medical devices without ALIMS authorisation
  • Supplements without registration with the competent authority
  • Firearms, blade weapons, ammunition — without licence
  • Pyrotechnics classes F2/F3/F4

Seller FAQ

1. How much does it cost to open a shop?

Storefront setup is free. You pay only the per-sale commission and payment fees.

2. When do I get paid?

Funds are released from escrow after the 14-day withdrawal period and delivery confirmation. Payouts run weekly.

3. Do I need my own POS and ESIR?

For sales through Vondi — no, our platform acts as your ESIR. For off-Vondi sales (own site, physical store) you do need your own ESIR.

4. Can I sell if I'm not VAT registered?

Yes. Prices show without VAT, clearly labelled. Watch your turnover — once you cross RSD 8,000,000 in 12 months, registration is mandatory.

5. How do I protect my storefront from copycats?

Use original photos (copyright), unique descriptions and a registered trademark. Vondi has an IP infringement reporting tool.

6. How long does verification take?

B2C: 1 working day. C2C: usually same day.

7. What if a buyer files a complaint I find unjustified?

Reject it with a written reason. If the buyer disagrees, Vondi mediates. Final recourse is regular court (ZZP) or the competent ADR body.

8. Can I ship internationally?

Vondi is currently focused on the Serbian market. Cross-border sales are on the roadmap and will be announced separately when available.

9. Can I import my own shipping rates?

We use a standardised Pošta Srbije B2B rate today for buyer predictability. Special arrangements for larger sellers — write to partner@mail.vondi.rs.

10. What happens if I leave the platform?

Active orders must be fulfilled. The storefront can be closed with 30 days notice. Vondi retains tax/accounting data for the legal period (10 years per ZPDV).
