Warranty and Buyer Protection

Buyers on the Vondi platform are protected by statutory rights in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act (Official Gazette RS, No. 88/2021). This page explains your rights and the procedures in the event of a product defect.

1. Statutory Warranty

Every seller on the Vondi platform who sells new products is liable for material defects in the delivered goods for a period of 2 (two) years from the date the product is received, in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act.

  • The statutory warranty applies automatically, regardless of whether the seller offers a commercial warranty.
  • Within the first 6 months of purchase it is presumed that the defect existed at the time of delivery, so the burden of proving otherwise lies with the seller.
  • After 6 months, the buyer must demonstrate that the defect was not caused by improper use.

2. Commercial Warranty

In addition to the statutory warranty, certain products (in particular electronics, white goods and tools) also carry a manufacturer's or seller's commercial warranty. The terms of the commercial warranty are set out in the warranty card supplied with the product.

A commercial warranty does not replace or limit the statutory rights of the buyer.

3. How to Make a Warranty Claim

If you discover a defect in a product, follow these steps:

  1. Contact the seller directly via the Vondi platform (order page → Contact seller).
  2. Describe the defect and attach photographic or video evidence.
  3. The seller is required to respond and propose a solution within 30 days of your request (in accordance with the law).
  4. Possible resolutions: repair, replacement, price reduction or refund.

Documentation that may be required: proof of purchase (available in My Orders), warranty card (if applicable), photographs of the defect.

4. When the Warranty Does Not Apply

The warranty does not apply in the following cases:

  • Mechanical damage caused by improper handling
  • Damage resulting from falling, impact, flooding, fire or other external causes
  • Unauthorised repairs or modifications carried out by the buyer
  • Use contrary to the operating instructions and intended purpose
  • Normal wear and tear from regular use
