Cash on Delivery (COD)
Last updated: 7 October 2026.
This page explains how cash on delivery works on Vondi, who bears which costs, and why the Pošta Srbije bank fee is shown on your order.
Fee formula
fee = max( collection amount × 1%, 50.00 RSD )
- Collection 3,200 RSD → 50.00 RSD (minimum)
- Collection 12,000 RSD → 120.00 RSD
1. How COD works
With cash on delivery, the buyer pays the Pošta Srbije courier in cash or by card at the moment of collection. The courier collects the total amount comprising the goods value, postage (if not free) and the Pošta Srbije bank fee for transferring the collection amount to the seller's account. Vondi as a marketplace intermediary does not receive the collection amount into its own account - it goes directly to the seller via Pošta Srbije.
2. Who pays what
- The buyer pays the courier the collection amount: the value of the goods and the delivery price shown in the order. In addition to the collection amount, the buyer pays the courier the Pošta Srbije bank fee separately (see section 3).
- Vondi pays Pošta Srbije the postage at contractual rates and Pošta's fee for the cash-on-delivery shipment. This fee is not charged to the buyer.
- The seller does not charge the buyer anything directly on delivery - all collection goes through Pošta.
3. Pošta Srbije bank fee
Fee amount
1% of the collection amount (goods value + postage charged to the buyer), minimum 50.00 RSD.
The fee is paid by the buyer to the courier together with the collection amount. Vondi does not retain this fee - it belongs entirely to Pošta Srbije as a charge for transferring the collection amount to the seller's account.
4. Declared value of the shipment
The declared value is the amount for which Pošta Srbije is liable if the shipment is lost or completely damaged.
- Cash on delivery: the declared value is mandatory (Pošta does not accept a cash-on-delivery shipment without it) and equals the value of the goods. Its price is shown as a separate line in the delivery price before you confirm the order.
- Payment in advance (card, IPS QR): the declared value is your choice. The option is unchecked by default; the price of the service is shown next to it and is added to the delivery price only when you check it.
- Price of the service: from 14 November 2026, 1% of the declared value, at least 65.00 RSD (Pošta Srbije price list); the maximum value that can be declared is 100,000.00 RSD. Until that date the terms of the contract with Pošta Srbije apply: a value up to 15,000.00 RSD is included in the delivery price, and 1% is charged on the part of the value above 15,000.00 RSD (example: declared value 20,000.00 RSD, 1% of 5,000.00 RSD = 50.00 RSD).
- If no value is declared: for loss or complete damage Pošta is liable up to ten times the postage charged, not up to the value of the goods (Law on Postal Services, "Official Gazette of RS" No. 19/2025, Art. 79).
5. Legal basis
The obligation to inform the buyer of the price and all costs before the contract is concluded, and the obligation to obtain the consumer's express consent to additional costs without a pre-selected option, are laid down in the Law on Consumer Protection ("Official Gazette of RS" No. 35/2026), in particular Art. 13. Vondi shows the Pošta bank fee and the price of the declared value on the ordering page, before final confirmation.
6. Alternative payment methods without a fee
If you wish to avoid the bank fee, choose prepayment: IPS QR (instant, no fee) or payment by card via the AllSecure system. These options are available only from sellers who accept them; you see which methods a store accepts at checkout.
